And how to get the most magic out of it
When it comes to wedding flowers, there really is no one size fits all, and this is why it is so tricky for us florists to answer a simple “How much will XYZ cost” without having a conversation first (as frustrating as that can feel).
Would you believe there is more than one or two ways to put together almost everything, even a pedestal?! It all comes down to the size, how many flowers, what type of flowers, the floral style your envisioning, and so on…

This urn arrangement is in the region of £350-£400, abundantly flowered, overflowing with blooms, adding a luxurious layer to your celebrations

This urn arrangement is in the region of £175-£200, a tasteful floral addition to highlight you and prominent areas of your wedding ceremony or reception
Take these two urn arrangements for example, one is abundantly flowered and free flowing with florals – this will cost you more than the other, yet the smaller one will add tasteful and delightful floral touches and draw attention to important areas of your wedding at a different price point.
It would be no good sending me Picture A and asking for a price only to potentially be put off completely when I can absolutely offer you Picture B – something within your price range, as well offering alternatives and other ways to make the most out of every single stem.
So, whether you are planning a wildly colourful day with flowers at the heart of it all, or you are just looking for a few thoughtfully placed pieces to add beauty and intention, I’m here to gently guide you through what different budgets might look like, so you can make decisions with clarity, confidence, and creativity.
This is your wedding, your flowers should feel like you: as bold and beautiful, or elegantly understated, as you want them to be.
General Pricing Advice Before We Dive In…
If you searched something like “How much do wedding flowers cost?” on the internet, you’ll likely find this piece of advice floating around:
– The average wedding flower spend is around 10-15% of your overall wedding budget. And, if you want Pinterest inspired florals with flowers playing a big part in your wedding vision, consider pushing that up to 20-25% –
While you don’t have to stick to these figures, it’s worth keeping in mind that flowers can add up to a big part of the overall wedding costs. And please know that we never add extra 00’s on to anything just because it’s a wedding – flowers are expensive because flowers are expensive, the labour is intensive, and the work involved from enquiry to sign off is extensive.
At The Honey Seeker, we do not have a minimum spend because we believe everyone deserves thoughtful, creative flowers, no matter the budget. Instead, we have packages that offer you the perfect floral balance from intimate wedding settings through to immersive experiences for you and your guests.
Now, let’s look at the possibilities….

We love nothing more than indulge ourselves in conversations with you to find out what is most important for you and your big day, then we carefully curate your arrangements so these details dance amongst your flowers.
Not only this, but when you become one of our couples in our mid-to-high end packages, you receive on hand support throughout, site visits, and little extra surprises to excite and delight during our time together. Couples in this category typically spend £3000 – £4,500 and beyond.

Floral arches usually start from £650, although we have provided half arches and minimalist arches for smaller budgets.
Plinths, urns, and milk churns start from £175, and meadow boxes are from £100, to name a few.
We can often move arrangements from your ceremony to your reception as well, giving you the best bang for your buck.

Wedding Flower Labour Charges
Let’s tackle this question. Do I charge more for labour, or is it included in the price of the flowers? Why does each florist approach this differently?
I charge extra for labour.
When I started out in floristry I incorporated the price of labour into the individual arrangement costs, but I found that this would make the price of each item go up and up and up, leading to couples asking if I can do better on the price because another florist only charges X for the same sort of design. I found this approach left me out of pocket and unable to provide the best service for my couples.
There are a couple of issues to unpack here – is the other florist charging less because they add the labour separately? Or perhaps their floral designs are less abundant in the actual flowers? Or do they put less emphasis on clear communication and logistical handling, leaving you to do more of the work (and as a result, upping the stress your end).
This has led me to separate out my costs so you can see clearly what you are paying for. The arrangements themselves will cost X amount, and the team involved to bring your vision to life will cost Z amount.
Why budget is only part of the story…
I am here to help you spend wisely and beautifully. From creative ideas that stretch your budget, to suggestions for maximum impact, I love finding ways to get the most out of your flowers. I also handle all the behind-the-scenes logistics: set up, delivery, and take down. Because you shouldn’t have to worry about a thing on the day.
To allow me to focus plenty of time on you and your wedding, allowing you to waltz through the most magical of days seamlessly, I only take a limited number of weddings per year. So my advice (of course) is to not wait to reach out. It all starts with a super simple, easy, and friendly conversation.
